A Cat-Eye Extra Full Set With a Shorter Center
Tall in Care. Great in Results.
How placing length where it matters creates a defined cat-eye shape with balanced fullness for everyday wear.
When I examined Briana’s natural lashes, I noticed their full density and medium thickness. They were a good foundation for a fuller, more defined look.
She wanted a noticeable cat-eye shape, but she also prefers a natural, everyday feel, so she asked for shorter lengths through the center of her eyes. Rather than making the entire lash line equally dramatic, we focused on creating definition toward the outer corners while keeping the center balanced.
For this appointment, we created a Classic Extra Full Set with 100 individual lash extensions applied per eye.
Designing a Cat Eye for Everyday Wear
For her design, I kept the center shorter, following her preference and considering the overall balance of her eye shape.
Keeping the center at 10–11mm allowed the outer 13–14mm lengths to stand out more clearly. This contrast created the defined cat-eye shape she wanted without extending the longest lengths across the entire lash line.
The result was a design that concentrated the dramatic effect toward the outer corners while maintaining a more restrained appearance through the center.
Curl, Length and Thickness
We used a combination of C Curl and CC Curl extensions, with lengths ranging from 8mm to 14mm.
Most of the set was done with 0.20mm extensions. Toward the inner and outer corners, I selectively mixed in lighter 0.15mm extensions, based on the condition of her natural lashes in those areas. The goal was to keep the two ends of the lash line from becoming too heavy.
Her naturally dense lash line provided a good foundation for fullness, while still requiring careful isolation during application. That made thickness as important as length in this set. Adjusting the weight area by area, based on how her natural lashes looked, made more sense than applying one thickness across the entire eye.
Through the center, I used C Curl in 10–11mm to keep a shorter, balanced appearance. Toward the outer corners, I used C Curl in 13–14mm to build the defined wing she wanted.
Each extension was applied to one isolated natural lash. I also took extra care during eye patch placement to keep the lower lashes properly separated throughout the application.
The Finished Look
The finished result is a full, even lash line with a clearly defined cat-eye shape.
The longer outer corners create the dramatic effect, while the shorter center keeps the overall design balanced and suitable for everyday wear.
She comes in every two to three weeks for refills, which keeps the set maintained as her natural lashes go through their regular growth and shedding cycle.
